Hello everyone, today I'll tell you about my favorite subject of this semester. In general I like physical geography better, like climatology or geomorphology, but this semester the branch I liked the most was Qualitative Research Methodology and Cultural Geography. The first one because it helps me to carry out work with a qualitative methodological support, which helps me in the sense that I can better understand from the qualitative point of view the social and geographical problems of the territory. Also, I liked cultural geography because it corresponds to an area of geography that is directly connected to people, in the sense that routine activities that have a spatial component are studied in relation to the geographical environment, and more precisely because everything that can be studied in physical geography can be directly related to cultural activity through it. I could say that those were my favorite subjects, I didn't do as well as I expected but you do what you can, hahaha.

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about Professor Hugo Romero whom I personally admire for his contribution to the discipline. Hugo Romero Aravena holds a PhD in Geography and Spatial Planning from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and a Master degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of Cranfield, UK. He is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Chile, and serves as Director of the Territory and Environment Laboratory. His research area is linked to environmental issues associated with conflicts of social exclusion and segregation, sustainability, socio-environmental justice, quality of life and the impact of urban and rural development. He won the National Geography Award in 2013 and in addition this last year he obtained the Milton Santos Award which is given to the greatest continental exponents of this discipline. Particularly he won this award for the trajectory he has had both nationally and internationally, addressing problems at the Latin American level.

Hello everyone, today I'll tell you about the country I'd like to know. Since I was a child I have been fascinated by Africa, that simple, I liked its natural landscapes, its people, its culture and the different types of dance and food. Specifically, I would like to travel to South Africa to the Cape of Good Hope. It's a really beautiful place, it has hundreds of years of history and amazing beaches. Since I was 6 years old I wanted to travel to South Africa, at the beginning I asked for a trip to Africa for every birthday and Christmas, but obviously I never arrive :( hahaha. Now that I'm at university, I intend that in 4 years or maybe 3 years I will be able to do an exchange in some South African university, or maybe (it all depends on my grades (and money)), just to travel for a month or two on holiday.

I usually like to watch movies and series because they entertain and distract me. During vacations is where I have more time to watch but during college time I don't have much. When I was a kid I liked to watch dragon ball or horror movies, with time I liked other types of movies and series like "The big fish" or "Vikings". Currently I'm not watching any series because it takes a lot from me to study for college, but movies whenever I can and I like that a lot. Sunday is the day I usually see a movie, the last one I saw "The curiose case of Benjamin Button", I found it very interesting because the main character (Benjamin), born with a strange disease that makes him look like an old man, but in reality is a baby, grows and as time goes by he becomes younger until he dies like a child. I don't have any favorite movies, I usually like almost all styles and categories, except the ones that are very slow.

I think it's hard to choose between one device or another.
But, the one I like the most is the smart clock because you have on your wrist
information as important as the heart rate, you can see if you have a call on
your phone and also, you can do sport with the serving you as a very good tool.
I usually occupy it when I train exercise and after that I change it for
another. In addition, you can add different designs and styles that make it
easier for you to see the screen. I
occupy it in the morning and at night. Also when I train in the afternoons.
It would be very boring to spend a week without the clock,
because I have a very organized week generally and helps me get more punctual
everywhere. And the best of all the tools that it has is that during a test or
exam it will help you a lot with handling the test according to the time, it is
without a doubt, a great help.

I don't know why I decided to study geography, my first
option was civil aerospace engineering, since I was a child I wanted to study
and work on it, but on the day of the application I decided to study something
as close to nature, something that really was linked to nature. My first year
at the university was quite good, I met many people and above all I confirmed
that geography is what I liked. The second year is also very good, I would like
to have more time to do the things I like but in general is very good. When I
am a professional I would like to work in some institution like ONEMI or
something similar, and as close as possible to land use planning, or perhaps to
environmental impact assessment. Also, I would very much like to go as far as
possible from Santiago because I would like to know other parts of Chile and
also the world.

1. It´s easy for me to learn something about human geography in the Eanglish class, because I understand the keywords and then investigate the subject.
2. It´s hard for me to learn about phisics geography in a Eanglish class, because I can not understand the different terms in English, such as the classification of slopes or rocks.
3. Something I want to learn in this curse is talk fluently whit my Eanglish friend.
4. I learn best in classes where the teaches talk whit my, for example when you give me an example that I can really understand
5. I participate more in class when I feel confuse.
